John Denver is a popular artist and musician who has touched many people with his songs. A lot of them have roots in Colorado. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. is a New Mexican born musician and singer who fell in love with Colorado. Denver's anthems of fame about Colorado have inspired many people to make the move to Colorado. G. Brown of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame says the fact that John Denver is unlike any other musician who represents Colorado. Denver was a member of the Hall of Fame as its the first member in 2011. He is now the symbol of Colorado to people around the world. While traveling, I will meet people on opposite sides of the globe. As an example, you might meet someone from New Zealand. And when you tell them you're from Colorado you will get "Oh John Denver!" Brown declared. Take Me Home Country Roads was co-written by Bill Danoff and Denver after his brief time as a folk musician which was Denver's first Top 10 solo hit. Danoff was credited with Johnny Cash as the inspiration for the tune, however Denver recognized that the song could be a huge hit after he heard an earlier version. After singing to an enthusiastic crowd at Washington D.C., the artist recorded the song.
