Audrey Justine Tautou (born Audrey Justine Tautou) is an French model and actress. Her fame was boosted with her portrayal as a charming, shy waitress Amelie who was awarded numerous prizes. Tautou has been compared with Audrey Hepburn, due to the mix of beauty, charismatic acting and talent. Tautou, a pretty brunette with dark hair, who came from a well-educated family, never thought of the field of acting. Her mother taught and her father worked as dental assistant. At school, she caught the acting bug and decided to be a full-time actress. She attended acting classes in the school of Cours Florent, and soon landed a role in TV movie production Coeur de cible. Venus Beauty Institute gave her an opportunity to produce her first feature film. The film was a huge success and she received a lot of praise by the audience for her performance. She is a daring actress who is willing to play various characters. Her film credits range from Amelie the romantic comedy to Dirty Pretty Things, a thriller. Born in France she appeared in a number of French films prior to becoming a star in her Hollywood debut alongside Tom Hanks in the film The Da Vinci Code. As a model she is highly regarded in regard to her fashion sense and is considered a fashionista.
