Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is an Romanian TV presenter and actress. She is best known for her role as the lead in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. The only child of Romanian actors Valentin Platareu, Alexandra began her career in show business at an early age. At the age of 16, she was sixteen, she had secured the leading roles in numerous TV dramas. In the Oscar nominated film Downfall the role she played as the Secretary Traudljunge of Adolf Hitler was also critically acclaimed. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are two other Oscar nominated films that feature female stars. Alexandra's professional career has included participate in several notable international and national projects. These projects included British biographical films Control Greek dramatic film The Dust of Time French historical Miniseries Napoleon as well as other. Other roles she has held include being juror at two festivals: and the Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
