Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is the Romanian actor and TV host. She is best known for her role as the star of Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Born as the only children of Romanian acting star Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra entered showbiz early and landed up acting in lead roles on various shows on television by the time she turned 16. Following her highly acclaimed performance in the TV film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went onto play more notable roles such as Adolf Hitler's secretary, Traudljunge, on Downfall. This film won an Oscar and received critical and commercial popularity. The Reader is another Oscar nominated film that features this stunning actress. Alexandra has been involved in numerous significant international and national productions throughout her career. Some of these include the British biographical film Control, the Greek film The Dust of Time, as well as the French historic miniseries Napoleon. Additionally, she was an active member of the Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
